Our Little Roses Film chronicles the making of a film about an American-born Episcopal priest who travels to Honduras, the poorest Spanish-speaking country in the Western Hemisphere and, in that, the murder capital of the world – San Pedro Sula – to teach poetry to a score of orphaned teenage girls at Our Little Roses orphanage, at the edge of one of the city’s ram shackle barrios. This teaser, under 10 minutes, foreshadows the stories to come as Stories Matter Media prepares to film three more times over the course of one year at the home.

The City of NY asked the tech and design community to reinvent NYC payphones to make New York more accessible, safer, and better informed. In response, Control Group and Titan partnered to create NYC I/O— the transformation of the corner payphone into a digital node that will usher in a new era of The Responsive City.

On December 2, 2011 Hamlin students and faculty participated in a rally at the State Capitol to celebrate 100 years of women possessing the right to vote in California. It was truly a magical and inspiring day as our girls stood shoulder-to-shoulder to recognize the great achievements of women throughout the ages and to be reminded that women are still needed as agents of change in our world today.
